Requirements 

• Successful completion of a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner masters program that qualifies for certification status in Michigan

• Current license, certification, or registration in the State of Michigan

• PA certification (NCCPA)

• NP certification (AGACNP or ACNP only)

Duties & Responsibilities 

A typical day may include: 

• Performing initial examinations and evaluations

• Developing and implementing patient care plans

• Managing acute and chronic surgical conditions

• Monitoring treatment efficacy and adjusting plans as needed

• Performing bedside procedures as appropriate

• Collaborating closely with supervising surgeons and interdisciplinary teams
