Pro rata remuneration package up to $132,567 p.a. (full-time equivalent) + benefits
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a dedicated Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician to join our dynamic ATODS team within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Make a meaningful impact by delivering outreach services and evidence-based interventions across Townsville—including North Ward, Kirwan, Vincent, and surrounding areas.
You’ll work closely with consumers engaged with Queensland Corrective Services, the Queensland Opioid Treatment Program (QOTP), and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. If you’re passionate about harm minimisation, culturally safe care, and community outreach, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the ATODS team, you will:
- Deliver outreach clinical services including intake, assessment, counselling, and case management
- Apply clinical judgement to complex cases under supervision
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices and protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide evidence-based therapy aligned with QOTP guidelines for individuals, families, and groups
- Promote inter-sectoral collaboration and health promotion strategies

- Pro rata remuneration up to $132,567 p.a. (FTE), including:
*Base salary
*12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% recreational leave loading

What You’ll Need
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with AHPRA
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and culturally safe care
